Nepal is one of the top draws for the best destination for the white water river rafting. It is thrilling, exciting, adrenaline pumped extreme sports that very few would mind taking on. Imagine the feeling of cruising down the rushing rivers, crashing waves and swirling rapids. Everyone has something new to do while in the rivers in Nepal: from difficulty grade newbies level to the extreme professional rafters. The grade 5/ 5+ rivers with raging white water rapids are for the adventurous ones for professionals, and for the novices they can start from grade 2-3 rivers are with few rapids. You also have a choice ranging from two to three-week trip as well as trips of two or three days.

There are several options while rafting – rowing, paddling or kayaking. Paddling is the extreme adventure which requires all the adventurers to take participation and follow the instructions that are being yelled at by the rafting guides. Some of you can even choose the oared boats where the guide rows alone which give those on board great chance to observe the surroundings. Kayaking on the other hand is more adventurous and filled with all the individual experience of the extreme sports.

For the rafting day, the participants are asked to arrive at the designated site on time allotted to them. You will be given compulsory instructions on safety and emergency situation before you set for the adventure. It is mandatory for the participants to put on their life vests and helmets at all times during the rafting. Meals are provided during the trip.

The best times to take on the river adventures are springs and autumns in Nepal that usually fall in the months of March to May and October to mid-December respectively. During winters, the white rivers are major concern due to high chances of hypothermia. The monsoons are not ideal for rafting as high rapid intensity is fatal thus, the months of June to September it is advisable that gentler stretches are used for rafting.
