Jomsom Muktinath Trek is a popular trek that takes you to the gateway of Forbidden Kingdom of Mustang. Also known as Jomsom trek, you will travel the promised land of Mustang region located at the elevation of 2700m. The holy shrine of Muktinath is a significant monument for both Hindu and Buddhist followers. This trek will take you to a sacred trail towards one of the world religious heritage, well tugged at the foreground of the beautiful Himalayan range.
Jomsom Muktinath trek offers you a trip to the land of beautiful landscapes and a pilgrimage site. The dry Tibetan plateau is simply breathtaking although a wasteland-like feature the beauty of this barren land is immeasurable. You will also enjoy walking through the deepest gorge in the world Kali Gandaki gorge. The beautiful towns in Kagbeni with a soaring Mt. Dhaulagiri and Niligiri Himal as the background have captivated millions of heart. Kagbeni can be reached by trekking some 5 hours north from Jomsom.
Jomsom Muktinath trekking starts with an exciting picturesque flight to Jomsom from the City of lakes, Pokhara. At Jomsom, you will head towards Kagbeni first through Kali Gandaki gorge. Then you will trek for Muktinath to explore the sacred temples and if interested take a cold bath in holy 108 taps. You will reach the highest point at 3800 altitudes while visiting Muktinath.

Welcome to Nepal. Our representative will receive you at the Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer you to your respective hotels.
We will hire a cab for sightseeing for a full day in Kathmandu Valley. We will visit world heritage sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhu Nath, Boudha Nath, Pasupati Nath, etc. In the evening, we will prepare plans for the trekking.
We will take an early tourist bus drive to Pokhara. Enjoy scenic views of countryside life. Arrival at Pokhara city of lakes and enjoy lake-side scenery on the background of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna Massif. You can also take a boat ride on the Phewa Lake.
Today, we take an early drive passing through the village of Lumle to Nayapul, the starting point of the trekking. Trek towards Birethanti then to pastures and reach Ranghia village. Slow ascend towards Tikhe Dhunga for overnight stay.
We will trek from Tikhe Dhunga with gradual ascend and cross a suspension bridge to climb the array of stone staircases to Ulleri village of Magars. Always give way to caravans and mule carts as they pass by. We will continue walking to Nangethanti and eventually reach Ghorepani. We enjoy the marvelous views of Hiunchuli, Tukuche Peak and Dhaulagiri along with the Annapurna.
Today we will wake up early. We will take an hour hike towards Poon Hill for the sunrise view from this wonderful vantage point. After the mesmerizing panoramic view of popular peaks like Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Annapurna III (7855m), Machhapuchhare (6993 m), Annapurna IV (7525 m), Tukuche Peak (6920m), Nilgiri (6940m), Varaha Shikhar (7847 m), Annapurna II (7937 m) and Lamjung Himal (6931 m) retrace back to Ghorepani. We will continue trekking towards Tadapani.
From today we start our trek towards Kali Gandaki valley. Enjoy the walk towards the deepest gorge in the world, walking alongside Kali Gandaki. We take a slow to ascend and cross Bhalu Khola suspension bridge to reach Dana popular for high waterfall: Rupse Chhahara. Continue towards Ghasa crossing bridges and stoney areas.
We follow the Kali Gandaki River through a narrow gorge. Today it is all about crossing several suspension bridges. The beauty of the river and the gorges are at their best as we pass hidden villages. We reach Tukuche for the day.
Today we have a wonderful trek towards Kagbeni. We walk past Khobang. Walkthrough alleyways and tunnel houses on the trip to Kanti Gompa. We will walk towards Marpha and taste some apples, brandy, and wine made of apple, etc. We head further to reach our hotel.
Today we ascend towards Muktinath. We observe the pilgrim of Hindu and Buddhist visiting the temple. We first move towards Khingar and Jharkot. Once at Muktinath we can visit the ancient temple. We stay in a hotel.
We trek from Muktinath to Jomsom interacting with local people. There are several locals from Mustang selling handicrafts to visitors and travelers. We descend past a rocky path on the background are the majestic mountains, we can see several ancient caves believed to have been used by Buddhist monks for meditation. We arrive at Jomsom.
Today we take a scenic early flight from Jomsom airport towards Pokhara. A wonderful visit around Lake Side and some shopping of souvenir for loved ones.
We take an early tourist bus drive to arrive at Kathmandu. You can either take rest or wander around old alleys.
