While travelling one may come across some simple injuries or some health issues might pop up. Headache, muscle cramps, upset stomach, simple cut, allergy, etc. are some of the minor health issues that might torture you while on a travel journey. Therefore, some basic medicines should always be carried as a first aid kit during the travel.

We – as a responsible travel companion carry a first aid kit that consists of all the essential medicines. However, it is highly recommended to have your own medical kit. If you are wondering what your medical kit should consist of. We may help you prepare a first aid kit box. Your medical kit should consist of the following items:

  • Sphygmomanometer (for measuring blood pressure)
  • Syringes (20 ml, 10 ml)
  • Stethoscope
  • Thermometer
  • Matchbox
  • Splints
  • Scissors
  • Tongue blades
  • Pen light
  • Cervical collar
  • Sterile gauge pads (large and small)
  • Band aids
  • Triangular Bandages / Elastic Bandages/ Adhesive Tapes
  • Eye pads/ Cotton roll (large and small)/Q-tips
  • Safety pins
  • Medications
  • For Pain – Paracetamol/ Aspirin
  • For Allergy – Avil / Benadryl Syrup/ Trexyl
  • For Eye infection – Neosporin Ophthalmic Cream
  • For Throat and Lung infection – Amoxicillin
  • For Abdomen infection – Metronidazole / Tinidazole
  • For Open Wounds – Cloxacillion and Cephalexin
  • For urinary infections – Narfloxacin
  • Disinfectants – Betadine/ Miconazole Cream/ Silver sulphadiazine
